Shredder is a connatural MacOSX application for shredding files and folders. Files are overwritten 24 times by alternating 0s, 1s and pseudo-random data(8 passes of each) and then deleted. This technique is based on the standard outlined in US Department of Defense Manual 5220.22 M. |
