FileRenamer is used to switch file names of items contained within a selected folder. There are several ways by which file names may be changed. One way is by using sequence numbers preceded with an optional string. Another way is by using find and replace rules for unwanted strings and characters. And still another way is to publish your own mention changer AppleScript that FileRenamer calls. The file extensions may be changed or left alone. Written in AppleScript Studio. What's New: Version 0.98 adds the following: Added Recursion (switch while digging into folders). Added UNDO (you read that right). Change a zillion file names and if you mess up.... switch 'em cover! In the Preferences panel, if you check the UNDO checkbox, then an applescript is written to the folder containing the FileRenamer programme which will allow you to UNDO the LAST file mention switch you performed - regular if it was using recursion. This UNDO file only contains the LAST mention changes. You will blazing it with the Script Editor and RUN it to perform the UNDO.
